Shannen Doherty :: Why I Came Back To Charmed

Hi everyone this is the Rumor Mogul and I have the pleasure of interviewing the charming (no pun intended) Shannen Doherty for her first interview since guest starring on the virtual series Charmed: Alternate Season 5.

Rumor Mogul: Hi Shannen. It's nice to have you here.

Shannen Doherty: Well its great to be here.

RM: So I guess I'll just dive right in there huh? Why did you guest star when after you left the series you swore you wouldn't work with Aaron Spelling again?

SD: Well the truth is I said the exact same thing after I left 90210 and then I did Charmed. So I said, "Hey why not do it." And besides... I worked with TJ {Triple J, C:AS5 creator}, not Aaron. (winks)

RM: What made you change your mind?

SD: Holly [Marie Combs, Piper on C:AS5] convinced me to do the two episode guest appearance. She would keep bugging me with "it's not gonna kill you to come back for a episode or two." (laughs) When I finally got tired of her nagging me I told her I would do it.

RM: So you and Holly remained close after you left the show?

SD: Holly and I have always been close friends, even before the show.

RM: Like everyone else I'm dying to know, what was it like working with Alyssa Milano again after having left the show on bad terms with the actress?

SD: Well before we began shooting the episodes Alyssa and I had a long talk about our personal issues and differences and in the end we ended up on good terms. Alyssa is a talented actress and it was good working with her again, it was like it was when we were back shooting season one of the show.

RM: So everything is fine between the two of you?

SD: Yes everything is great between us!

RM: So does this mean we'll see more of Prue in future C:AS5 episodes?

SD: It'll all depend on my scheduling, but yeah sure. Why not?

RM: I have to know, what was it like working with the actress who replaced you, Rose McGowan? Was there any animosity between the two of you?

SD: No animosity whatsoever. Rose is a great person and I admire her work on the show and she was fun to work with. She's so quirky and lively, that she keeps you energetic.

RM: What was it like coming back to the set after being gone for a year?

SD: It was weird at first, but in the end it felt like home again.

RM: Did you enjoy reprising your role as Prue Halliwell?

SD: Absolutely! I always thought that Prue was a interesting character who had so many levels. I have so much fun playing her.

RM: So Shannen I hear you're a host on a new reality series called Scare Tactics?

SD: Yes I am.

RM: Can you explain to me the premise of the show?

SD: Well it's a show where people will set they're close friends up to get the crap scared out of them! (laughs) Although sometimes we'll turn it around and scare the accomplice. I will also be involved in some of the acts scaring a few of my friends as well.

RM: It sounds really mean. I'm sure it'll be a hit!

SD: (laughs) I hope so.

RM: So do I! Well, Shannen, I thank you once again for doing this interview, and good luck with your new series Scare Tactics!

SD: Thanks so much! I was glad to do it.
