Between 2 Brothers: Scott Foley & Jason Behr Interview
C:AS5 Insider Report -

{Scott Foley's Trailer. There is Draco fan art on the small wall and a few posters that have been made by Felicity fanatics over, Scott Foley's bed. Charles Peppers sits on a smaller couch then the one that Jason Behr and Scott Foley have settled onto. The writer is obviously not used to being in one of the actor's trailers. Charles' eyes shift from Jason and finally land on Scott suspiciously.}

Charles: Wow this is... weird.

Jason (amused): Why is it weird?

Charles: I've been writing for you for eighteen episodes and I've never seen you or you're trailer. I think that, I'm onto T.J. He separates the trailers of the actors from the trailers of the writers. He probably thinks that were going to stare obsessively through you're windows for inspiration or something.

{Both Jason and Scott laugh. Charles clears his throat as he looks down at his index cards.}

Charles (cont'd): This is my first shot at giving an interview, so bere with me. You can each take this question. What was it like going from one successful W.B eleven show to an already successful W.B eleven-television show?

Scott: Well it really wasn't that much of a deal (scratches back of his neck) Felicity went off of the air a couple of years ago and I've been working on more movie's since then. I've been doing a lot more traveling too, because when you're working for a television series they usually ask you to stay in one place at the time. That kills me sometime man, because I love to travel?

Charles: Oh really? Where?

Scott (thinks): Mainly California. Alternate Season Five was a godsend, because we're still shooting in California, but we usually have to drive over to Los Angeles for post-production. Even though this isn't the only reason why coming to this show rocked. I got the same feeling that I'd gotten from Felicity. Everyone was professional, everyone was sweet and everyone was ready to give it there all.

Jason: Well I think that the fans almost feel as though, I betrayed Roswell by crossing over to Charmed (places innocent hand on chest) I don't know why though, but I think that it might have to deal with the fact that Roswell just ended recently and it looks like, I'm a little too enthusiastic about hoping over to another fantasy drama.

Charles: I know exactly what you mean. Fan opinions can really be bittersweet sometimes, but they really loved the casting off Alternate Season Five. They love you both as Matt and Draco. How did you both, become cast?

Jason: Oh the funny thing about that was that, I was originally cast into Alternate Season Five as Draco. I'd already memorized half of the lines into "A Witch in Need" when Triple J decided that he wanted me as Matt, so I just had to forget all of those lines and get into the groove of Matthew Johnson. Even though, I'm personally glad to make the switch, because I love the way Scott plays Draco. I think that, I would've sucked if they'd chosen me.

Scott: Jason and I started hanging out after a W.B publicity party. We went to a few basketball games together and we became friends. As soon as he got re-cast as Matthew he called me up (makes phone gesture) "Hey Scott there's this role, I think you'd be perfect for," and I was like, "Really? What show?" and he got quiet for a minute. He didn't think, I'd have that much of a liking for the show, because it is known as a chick drama to older men, but I've actually watched it a couple of times and got pulled in, because of Cole. I thought he was awesome and I thought that Julian was a great actor. I wasn't working on any movies at the time, so I said, "Sure. I'll come in and read," The same night of the reading, Triple J called me up and asked me if I could begin working on the first episode the next day.

Charles (impressed): Wow the next day. You must be really good if you memorized all of those lines that quickly! Oh here's the next question for you Jason. What do you think of the relationship between Matt and Paige? There's been a positive fan response.

Jason: Well I think that the relationship is based on understanding. Matt isn't another Glen, because he knows where Paige is coming from and accepts the fact that she isn't typical. I think that's the kind of man that Paige needs in her life right now at least.

Charles: Hmm... if his brother relationship with Draco doesn't get in the way?

{Jason only smiles in response. Not wanting to ruin anything for the fans.}

Charles (cont'd): What about you Scott? What do you think drives Draco?

Scott: The same thing that drives all humans. He's trying to find himself. Even though dark magic has been his escape from the real world, Draco is starting to see pass the truth, because he's looking at the life that his brother has from the outside. This view is motivating him to get his act together and just try to be the witch that he can be. He's like a human guy who doesn't know which job to accept.

Charles: Ah interesting perspective. So if either of you had one superpower what would It be.

Jason (grin): It's all about the super-speed, Charlie. That would definitely be my first and one of the reason's why, I think Matt is so cool.

Scott: Hmm...I'm greedy, so I'd probably start out with teleportation and eventually kill other witches for their powers. Something that Draco and I have in common.

{Charles laughs out loud and shakes his head.}

Charles: Allright closing two questions. If either of you could name some of you're favorite Alternate Season Five episodes which would they be?

Scott: I love them all! Except for the one where Draco died that one sucked, because well you know... Draco died! (laughs) Sorry Charlie no offense.

Jason: I'd have to say that my favorite episode would have to be Flesh and Blood. Even though Heroes United is an episode, I really excited about working on, because Sarah and I haven't seen each other eversince promoting The Grudge which is our new movie coming out. She's a great girl to work with and she's really serious about her work. Back to Flesh and Blood though. It's my favorite, because that episode really fleshed out the relationship, between our two characters and it was fun to do all of the flashback scenes. I always like playing younger even though makeup are all convinced that, I don't look like I'm in my twenties. I think there just trying to kiss up or something...

Charles (laughing): Oh wow that comment is so staying in this interview (chuckles) Well last question if you could both say something to all of the fans then what would it be?

Jason (nods): We love the support and we hope that we'll be able to keep pleasing you. The fan response has been so tremendous. The sole purpose of alternate season five is the support of fans and the way they want the plots to be twisted. Well keep on twisting, turning and watching, because it's going to be good.

Charles (grins): Gonna drop any hints?

Jason: Right on! Oh absolutely (coughs and shakes his head) not. Sorry man.

Scott: The fans you're all in my hearts, really. You're the reason why; I'm an actor to begin with, so keep on watching and write letters to T.J to bring back Draco.

Charles (dies laughing): Nice way to promote character resurrection. Really nice...
