The youngest of the sisters, Paige rounds out the Power of Three as the third Charmed One. In the fulfillment of the ancient Charmed Prophecy, Paige inherited the power of telekinesis from her ancestor Melinda Warren. However, the dominant powers of her whitelighter blood mutated her witchy power into a hybrid version that mimics her inherent gift of orbing. Upbeat, quirky, and strongly independent Paige has grown to become an indispensable force to the Charmed Ones - despite her unexpected existence.

Paige's birth parents, Patty Halliwell and Sam Wilder fell in love shortly after Patty divorced her husband Victor Bennett. When the pair consummated their love their forbidden romance resulted in an unexpected pregnancy. On August 2nd, 1977, Patty gave birth to a fourth child - a daughter whom she did not name. Since Sam and Patty were romantically involved in secret, it is presumed that Patty used magic to conceal her fourth pregnancy from those outside her family - especially the Elders. During which time her mother convinced her to give up her child to avoid the wrath of the Elders.

Fearing that her older daughters might be denied their birthright as the Charmed Ones (as revealed to her when the adult versions of Phoebe, Piper, and Prue visited her in February 1975), Patty and Sam gave their daughter up as an orphan under the stipulation that her first name began with a P - giving her some type of link to her real family. The couple hoped that she would live a life free of the dangers of magic and the wrath of the Elders. Their daughter was adopted by the Matthews family and given the name Paige.

Twenty-four years later the beloved Prue was slain by a demon in an attempt to protect an endangered innocent. Upon a spell cast by Piper to call on a 'lost sister' Paige was introduced to her birth family only to discover the magical heritage that came along with them. At first reluctant to take up her destiny as the new third Charmed One, Paige eventually jumped onto the Wiccan bandwagon eagerly and naively. Through a year of magical trails consisting of body switching, being shrunken and turned into a vampire Paige learned to appreciate magic for more than just a means to an end but as a way life. A heritage, a destiny passed down from daughter to daughter - sister to sister.

During the alternate season five Paige finally stepped up from being the "Fifth Halliwheel". After meeting Darryl's new partner, Inspector Matthew Johnson, the two soon started a passionate yet complicated love affair. Their relationship has had its ups and downs, its secrets and lies, and its betrayals and heartbreaks. Yet through it all one thing remained true; their love for one another. Her second year as a Charmed One brought Paige life lessons, new powers, new foes and friendships but mostly significantly - her soulmate.

Although her first year with Matt was mostly an on again-off again relationship full of trials and tribulations the couple seem to have gotten through most of their issues and are ready to move forward; waiting to see where this new journey together will take them. At the start of the new season Paige has a great job, a loving boyfriend, and a new niece & nephew that she plans to spoil rotten. For Paige, nothing's going to bring her down ... or so she hopes.
