Defying Destiny Review

I definitely liked the idea behind this episode, they usually have an alternate reality and/or a time travel episode in each season so it made sense. I liked having Prue for the double episode too, but 'The Power of Four' had been left quite open ended so I think that Prue's character could have been utilised in another area. The spell was good and I liked the demons in the alternate reality, plus the fact that it didn't really have anything to do with Draco, though I'm really not sure where Paige's Broadway abilities came from. Piper and Leo's anniversary was used throughout which I thought was cute and I loved Phoebe's reaction to it.

Alternate reality Piper was created subtly but effectively as I thought you could really tell she was still the middle sister and Phoebe too just seemed more fun-loving and younger there. The conversation between the three of them then was fantastic, natural and amusing. I liked Prue being a 'celebrity' and risking her life, it was very like her. Although the other three sisters have all had doubts abouts the continuation of their Wiccan duties in the past and it was sort of Paige's turn, I'm not sure it was the right timing for her, she seems pretty together lately. I'm glad Matt was mentioned if not seen and Leo was sweet in both realities. 7/10 for an ace idea that maybe was not quite pulled off.
