The Missing Halliwells Review

I'm really glad we finally got to meet one of the Charmed Ones less immediate relatives, I remember way back in the first episode ever Piper talked about 'an aunt who's manic' but we never got to meet her, I wonder if she was Patience's mom? Yay! Draco was back and behind it all. I liked his little demonstration of power and utter ruthlessness at the beginning. His alternate self was worryingly lovely. The alternate reality plot was fantastic, and the closest alternate reality was one where the Charmed Ones are evil? Scary thought. The dialogue was amazing all the way through but I especially loved when Phoebe and Toto realised they weren't in Kansas anymore. I'm not sure how Paige would have known the depossession spell, but Phoebe's knowledge of the binding spell was well explained, and I say agian the depossession spell needs the power of three.

Patience was nice, a bit too passive looking next to Phoebe but when she got the oppurtunity to use her powers she was groovy. Phoebe was very together all the way through and only looked disconcerted when she realised Max was Draco and he was good. Alternate Phoebe was suitably bitchy but I thought there could have been a twist if Cole was good and trying to persuade her to be good too. Cole was believably distraught over Phoebe's disappearance and I think him trying to hurry Paige and her totally not going for it was very brother-in-law/younger sibling relationship. Alternate Paige was very like our Paige if judged on the strength of her libido and, I almost prefered her evil rather than how embarassingly cheesy she was earlier on. I was cringing in my seat, I tell you, when she and Matt were crooning to each other. Piper, despite not being the focus of the episode, was great, she has now wholly embraced her rather large pregnant self and her one-liners are brilliant (I especially liked 'as serious as a heart attack'). Got to be 9/10 for plot, character and dialogue wonders.
